Hello Scrappers!!
I was playing with my Cricut Expression 2 yesterday and some cricut vinyl. I ahve had the vinyl for a while but never tried it out until now. What is unique to the E2 is that it stored settings for cutting heavy paper, med. paper, light paper and vinyl! You can also customize your own settings! So I decided to try the vinyl setting.. this setting is suppose to "kiss" the vinyl..meaning it cuts the vinyl but not the paper backing..I tried it the first time and turned down the blad setting to 4 like it said. It still cut through the paper backing but I found that it was easier to put the transer tape over it with it cut out. If you were creating a word or saying to put on a wall, that would be the time to have the "kiss" setting perfected. I tried it a second time with it turned down to 3 and it still cut through parts of the paper.
Here is my finished project..
I decided to jazz up my E2! The Cricut head is from one of the new 4 cartridges that are downloaded onto the machine! This cartridge is called Cricut decals..It has family, sports, and cricut decals on it! SO CUTE!
