Finishing Projects

Question for you...when you are at a crop do you finish your LO's completely with journaling and embellishments or do you get the basics done and finish the rest at home??
It depends with me...Some projects I do from start to finish but others I need to walk away from and move onto the next. Why?? Well, sometimes it's because I didn't bring the kitchen sink with me and I don't have what I need to finish it and sometimes it's because I just need to walk away from it to get more inspiration! I am a perfectionist when it comes to my pages and I don't glue anything down till it's perfect!

So here is the first project from a crop I went to a few weeks ago that I just finished up..I added a rolly eyeball and the wire as the fishing line. This is very simple for me but I was trying to let the background paper be the star :) I love the frog! I actually bought this DCWV stack just for this LO!

The title is from Life is a beach Cricut Cartridge and the fishing pole is from Everyday paper dolls Cricut Cartridge.

The next LO is of my daughter, Faith on her First day of 2nd grade! I fell in love with the papers in the Be Mine Colelction from Echo Park! Faith loves pink and the Eiffel tower so when I saw this collection I knew I had to have it!!

The title block is cut from Locker Talk Cricut Cartridge. The journaling frame and florish is from French Manor Cricut Circle Cartridge. Flowers are from Recollections, bling is Imaginisce I Rock tool and crystal gems. I also used a little extra bling on the title and the florish by painting some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze in Icicle.

Thanks for stopping by!!

  1. Hi Kim,
I love your layouts--but that school layout is just stunning; I love how you used very non-traditional colors for a school layout!
